Jalili: Lebanon a model of resistance for entire world

TEHRAN (IRNA) – Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Saeed Jalili said on Monday that Lebanon has turned into a model of resistance among world nations.

Jalili made the remark in a meeting with visiting Lebanese Minister of the Youth and Sports Talal Arsalan on Monday.
Referring to a change in power balance in the region and in the world as well as emergence of new relations, he said faith, confidence and principled resistance are the new elements of power which have led to consecutives victories in Lebanon and Gaza.
These facts are among factors showing the potentialities of the Islamic Revolution and its resistance to bulling powers, Jalili said.
Lauding the spirit of resistance and the faith of Lebanese youths which led to their victory in the 33-day war in Lebanon, he said the enemies were bent on ruining such great achievements but the vigilance of the Lebanese people thwarted their plots.
Jalili also expressed the hope that the upcoming nationwide elections in Lebanon would be a scene for demonstration of unity and solidarity of the Lebanese people.
The Lebanese minister, for his part, commented on recent developments in Lebanon and attempts to break the resistance and unity of the Lebanese people and said that resistance could put an end to all these plots.
Lauding the continued and all-out support of Iran for people and resistance in Lebanon, he said the capability of the Islamic Republic of Iran could change all equations to the benefit of Lebanese resistance movement and that Iran’s political, scientific and technological progress belongs to all nations in the region.
World Muslims along with the Arab world should learn lessons from Iran’s experiences and the country’s capabilities in dealing with global issues, said the Lebanese minister.
